Tapestry weaves the music of Maurice Ravel, a true innovator whose music was influenced by Jazz, atonality and the East with new compositions for jazz trio and chamber orchestra, specially written for this gala by multi-talented Cultural Medallion recipient Jeremy Monteiro. So you still think that Classical Music and Jazz doesn’t jive?
