CONCORDIA QUARTET ANNOUNCES FIRST EVER MALAYSIA TOUR
Singapore-based Concordia Quartet makes their Malaysian debut with a series of concerts, masterclasses and workshops in Kuala Lumpur and Melaka from June 27th to 30th, 2024.
27 June Thursday 7pm – Quartet Reading at Sunway University
Concordia Quartet will kick off their tour on June 27th with an outreach program for quartet reading at Sunway University School of Arts, Live Arts Space, level 9, at 7 p.m.
Dive into musical exploration, and uncover how the Concordia Quartet & friends meet a new piece of music at this reading session. Discover through Borodin and Beethoven’s emotional quartets on how chamber music is put together, when musicians begin from a mindset of discovery. Meet the Concordia Quartet after the session to network and connect, as part of their first event on their maiden Malaysian tour. Admission is free*, all music lovers are welcome!

28 June Friday 1pm – Chamber Music Masterclass (Observer) at UCSI
Join us for an exclusive chamber music masterclass led by the quartet at UCSI University’s Kuala Lumpur campus. Held in the Recital Hall on the LG floor of Block G, this event features several student ensembles and offers a unique opportunity for the public to observe. Admission is also free*, so don’t miss out!

The tour ends on June 30th, with Concordia Quartet holding an ensemble masterclass with the Melaka Youth String Orchestra, at Jabatan Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Negara (JKKN Melaka) at 1:30 p.m.
You are invited to join Concordia Quartet at their Ensemble Masterclass, whether as a strings player or as an observer. Admission is free as a part of Concordia Quartet’s outreach program in Malaysia and is supported by the High Commission of the Republic of Singapore at Kuala Lumpur.
