Resound Collective Donation Campaign 2025

Dear Friends and Supporters of Resound Collective,

 

Thanks to the support of previous donors, our musicians have performed over 20 programmes in the past two years, revived the much-loved Singapore Chamber Music Festival, and inspired the next generation of music lovers in Singapore. We could not have done all of this without you!

Your contributions have allowed us to continue growing the Concordia Quartet, hire the brilliant Yang Shuxiang as our Concertmaster / Associate Artistic Director, and helped us to add vibrancy and variety to the classical music landscape in Singapore. For all of this, we are truly grateful.

We are also grateful to the National Arts Council, who have renewed our Major Company Grant for the next three years. However,  the NAC grants, ticket sales and earnings from paid engagements will not cover more than 35% of our operating costs*. The shortfall has to be met by your donations and MCCY’s Cultural Matching Fund matching.

Your donations will help us achieve our audacious goals for the coming years, that include:

  •  Growing the biennial Singapore Chamber Music Festival as a platform for collaboration, teaching and community-building;

  •  Nurturing and encouraging younger musicians by providing them with concerto and chamber orchestral opportunities;

  •  Commissioning new works and showcasing Singaporean composers and performers;

  •  Celebrating our tenth anniversary year with the music of  Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and more. Mahler fans will also have a surprise to enjoy!

As we do this, we endeavour to offer fair remuneration to our musicians, so they can continue to pursue excellence in their craft professionally and with dignity.

Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference. As an Institution of a Public Character (IPC), donations received are eligible for 250% tax relief. For donations over $500, donors will receive complimentary tickets to selected concerts. Every donor gets our grateful thanks!
