Concordia Quartet

Concordia Quartet is a Singapore-based quartet that is managed by Resound Collective, a Singapore-based musicians’ collective and registered charity. Making their debut in 2020, the quartet consists of four prize-winning musicians – Edward Tan, Kim Kyu Ri, Martin Peh and Lin Juan.
Immediately following their debut concert, Concordia Quartet was part of the cast in Wild Rice’s The Importance of Being Earnest. When Covid-19 pandemic restrictions prevented live events, the quartet staged two live-streamed concerts, in June and September 2020. Their highly innovative June 2020 live broadcast involved players performing from their homes, and was highlighted in the September issue of BBC Music Magazine.
Onto their fifth year, Concordia Quartet has presented two recitals per year on average, and have attended two music festivals – Pacific Region International Summer Music Association (PRISMA) in Canada as string quartet-in-residence in June 2022, and Harpa International Music Academy (HIMA) USA in Ohio as one of the four advanced string quartets in August 2023. In January 2024, they were the festival quartet for the inaugural Singapore Chamber Music Festival organised by Resound Collective, and played a pivotal role in coaching the participating groups as well as performing in festival concerts. Most recently, they embarked on their first concert tour in Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur and Malacca in June 2024, where they played to a full houses and gave masterclasses at various institutions such as Sunway University and UCSI.
With a strong belief in community outreach, Concordia Quartet has presented free-of-charge Christmas concerts for two consecutive years at Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Dome; and in December 2023, they shared the joy of the festive season through music to the aged residents of Allium Healthcare. They are also part of the National Arts Council’s Arts Education Programme, reaching out to schools in Singapore and nurturing the next generation of classical music lovers.
Concordia Quartet has received masterclasses and coaching from the Lafayette Quartet, Verona Quartet, Nobuko Imai, Sibbi Bernhardsson, Amit Even-Tov, Mari Sato and Eric Wong.
